More than 388 people in the United States have become sick due to a salmonella outbreak in 42 states.

The tainted food has caused 70 of the 388 individuals affected to be sent to the hospital for further medical care.

The CDC as well as the U.S. Department of Agriculture are working on identifying the source of the salmonella outbreak.  In Ohio alone, 51 people have become ill from the bacteria since October 10, with 12 of them having to be hospitalized.
