Back in December Oprah Winfrey decided to go public about her personal struggle with her weight.  Oprah posed with an earlier, slimmer image of herself on the cover of O magazine to display how much she had changed in a small amount of time.

That’s when fitness guru Bob Greene came on to the scene with his book, The Best Life Diet Cookbook.  The new cookbook details ways to avoid overeating and keeps you on track with healthy, wholesome recipes.

For those using Greene’s diet plan, a typical day would be like this:

Breakfast:

Strawberry Breakfast Smoothie

Whole wheat toast spread with 1 tablespoon peanut butter
Lunch: 

Chicken Noodle Soup
Green salad with 100 calories of dressing of your choice (preferably olive oil based)
Calcium-Rich Snack:

Slim-Fast Optima Shake, any flavor
Dinner

Baked Pork Tenderloin

Corn Pudding
