Food and Drug Administration officials stated Monday that they are planning to continue the research of a controversial chemical found in plastic baby bottles.
While they have not immediate plans to curb the chemical bisphenol A, the FDA assured the public that they will not stop their research until they are able to completely assess the effects of the chemical.
“FDA is planning to conduct these studies in its laboratories using representative dose ranges and multiple animal models,” FDA’s associate commissioner for science stated.
