Medical researchers at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health have found that the diabetes drug Metformin may decrease chances of heart disease and heart-related deaths.

Led by Elizabeth Selvin, PhD, MPH, the research indicates that while some diabetes medications such as Avandia may poorly affect heart health, Metformin seemingly decreased your risk of heart diseases and heart illnesses.
