Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb talks about maintaining your diet. One of my few reservations about fast acting diets, (whether Atkins and low carb diets, which I like, or any other) personally has always been the great speed with which people can lose their weight, often without working out to build muscle or activity. As a result, once someone has achieved their loss, they return to the normal diet with foods they’ve been craving/resisting, and balloon right back.
It’s a hard mental hack, but you have to make a lifetime adjustment in order to keep that weight off, and the maintenance is what is important. Even those who’ve had incredible dips in weight, myself included, face learning how to master the maintenance period.
