Everyday Geeks Getting Healthy

Hey folks, Paul here. I hope Tobias doesn’t mind me poking my head in and posting this.
A lot of us geeks are solitary animals who spend copious amounts of time alone in front of our computers. Not only does this contribute to our overall midriff expansion and late night pizza binges, we also have to deal with the motivation aspect, or lack thereof, to get off our behinds and get healthy.
To combat this, a few friends of mine are documenting their fitness and weight loss efforts on a group blog over at BodyChallenge.net. They all set out with different goals and different methods to get the results they wanted (which, to me is what health hacking is all about).
What I especially like about their collaborative efforts is they get to see and track their progress in writing and each person’s progress serves to motivate and help the others stay on track.
Another person documenting and publicizing their weight loss is Chris Pirillo of Lockergnome fame. Over the past few weeks he’s been blogging his efforts and has a healthy group of readers cheering him on. His Captain 160 post is especially interesting.
The only disadvantage I see for Chris is, with less body mass, ad space on his chest will shrink.
